Barrel saunas delivered to Athlone
The heart of Ireland
Athlone sits on the Shannon in the middle of the country, far from the coast. Winters bring frost and fog on the river, and summers are calm. A sauna is a very good companion to long, still evenings.
The 44 mm solid spruce holds the heat, and a wood stove warms the cabin in about an hour.
Riverside, lakeshore and farm gardens
Around Lough Ree and the Shannon there are many holiday homes and lakeside gardens. In Mullingar, Tullamore and Birr, family houses have wide, level gardens. A 3 m barrel suits the larger sites, a 2 m barrel the town terraces.
Choose a firm slab base well above the water table, especially near the river.
Delivery and assembly in Athlone
The pallet is delivered by tail-lift lorry to the road edge or driveway, around a week after 4 to 6 weeks of production. Two adults carry the parts and finish in about two days. Our crew can assemble from 1 390 €.
Prices include 23% Irish VAT.
Lakeshore holiday homes and wood stoves
The Shannon lakes have a large number of holiday homes and boat owners, many of whom are on site only at weekends. A wood stove is ideal for a weekend ritual: light it when you arrive, and by the evening the cabin is ready.
Store firewood in a dry, ventilated shed away from the cabin, and keep the vents set as the manual describes when the property is empty.
The midlands are some of the flattest parts of Ireland, so the base is easy. On low ground near the water, raise the slabs further and ask your council about flood risk.
Permission
Ask Westmeath County Council or Roscommon County Council about garden buildings, particularly near the river or a lake.
Questions
Do you deliver to Mullingar and Tullamore?
Yes, across the midlands. We check lorry access to your gate before confirming a date.
Can I build near the Shannon?
Possibly. Flood risk and planning rules apply near the river or lakes, so ask the council first.
How is the sauna used at a holiday home?
Many owners fire it up on arrival. A wood stove warms the cabin in about an hour, ready for the evening.
