Barrel sauna kit delivered to Galway

Atlantic weather

Galway takes the Atlantic head-on, with wind and rain year-round. Solid 44 mm spruce, a firm base and a sheltered spot behind a wall make the sauna comfortable.

Bay and countryside

Salthill and Barna are famous for sea swimming, and a sauna fits that culture. Oranmore, Athenry and Tuam have wide rural gardens.

Delivery and assembly in Galway

The pallet comes by lorry with a tail-lift, in about a week after 4 to 6 weeks of production. Two adults build it in around two days, or our crew can from 1 390 €.

Prices include 23% Irish VAT.

Planning for wind

West-coast wind can be strong, so place the sauna where a wall, hedge or the house itself gives some cover. The base should be flat, firm and well drained, since the ground may be wet for much of the year.

The barrel shape handles wind well because air flows around it rather than pushing against a flat side.

Connemara, the bay and the islands

West of Galway the landscape opens into Connemara: rocky, wet and beautiful, with small houses scattered along narrow roads. A sauna here is a quiet luxury after a day on the hills or the beach.

The first question is always access. Lorries need a reasonable road to the gate, and from there two adults carry the parts to the site. If the last stretch is a track, say so when you contact us.

On the bay side, around Oranmore and Clarinbridge, gardens are flatter and more sheltered. These suit the 3 m barrel nicely, and a glass wall can face the water.

Language, culture and sauna

Galway is lively, creative and outdoorsy, and the sauna has found a home among its swimmers and walkers. A garden cabin lets you share it with friends in a more private setting.
